A quiet session of consolidation to begin the week here in Asia….An early session run at over two month highs in the EUR/USD saw the pair break 1.3640, but the pair eased from there with the better part of the day spent consolidating near the 1.3600 level. EUR/JPY as well saw a break of a session high of 112.65 early on, only to be followed by lows near 112.30 as the day progressed. The story was similar in most Euro based pairs as political unrest in Ireland has prompted an early election as well as a little political uncertainty in the markets, pull the single currency lower.
