Bloomberg: Yen Rises Versus Dollar as Bank of Japan’s Fukui May Fuel Rate Speculation

Dec. 16 (Bloomberg) — The yen rose against the dollar on
speculation Bank of Japan Governor Toshihiko Fukui today will
signal the central bank is moving closer to ending a policy of
flooding the economy with cash.
Against the yen, the dollar traded at 115.72 at 9:16 a.m. in
Tokyo, from 116.23 late yesterday in New York, according to
electronic foreign-exchange dealing system EBS.
