Housing Starts are the number of new single-family homes or buildings constructed throughout the previous month. The indicator is derived by comparing month over month changes in the number of constructions.

Money Supply measures the value of M2 plus repurchase agreements, money market fund shares and units as well as debt securities with a maturity of up to two years. The indicator is derived by comparing year over year changes in total value.

Broadly-defined Liquidity is a monetary measure comprised of M2 + CDs, postal savings, deposits of the Shinkumi Federation Bank etc., money in trust, money deposited other than money in trust, investment trusts, bank debentures, commercial papers issued by financial institutions, repurchase agreement and securities lending with cash collateral transactions, government bonds, and foreign bonds.
