fxcm metatrader

This came as a complete surprise to me but I absolutely welcome it. FXCM announces they will offer Metatrader in 2008.

FXCM plans to introduce the MetaTrader online trading platform in the beginning of 2008.Because many traders have expressed an interest in this trading platform, we would like to keep them informed of our progress. Please complete the form below if you would like us to send you information about the upcoming release of MetaTrader.

Re metatrader, any thoughts on this thread about the “virtual dealer plugin” over at forex factory?

(please see the link I’ve attached to the website icon here)

    One quote from the thread:

“It appears to me that MT4 server is a Video Game and broker can manipulate settings disadvantageous to traders. I know that this PlugIn is designed to thwart News Traders, but it also prevents normal non-news traders from trading properly!”

    Regards, Motu

I don’t trade through Metatrader but if this is true, it’s ridiculous. Why hasn’t there been more about this. I’m going to look into it a little more.
