Peter Bain Gets Knocked Down
May 3, 2007
Forex On Top, was updated with the most up-to-date visitor traffic rankings today. Oanda is still #1 and there is no threat that they'll be knocked out of that slot anytime soon. Forex Project moved up 1 spot to #22 which in turn knocked Peter Bain's site down to #23. There's a bunch of new sites that were added this week that debuted in the top 200. The biggest jump was a site called, ForexBasic which moved up 12 spots. I'm not going to link to it from here because I wouldn't recommend it. You can find it here at #133, http://www.forexontop.com/forex_trading_websites_page_3.html.

New Search Feature
May 2, 2007
I added a new search feature to http://www.forexontop.com to make it easier for people to find either their website in the rankings or any other forex website in the rankings. Also added this week was a form to submit your forex website. I'm no longer relying on the DMOZ (Open Directory Project) to supply me with a listing of websites that belong in the forex category. If you have a forex website and want to be included, you can submit your site for review at http://www.forexontop.com/add_forex_website.php.
Like I previously said, this is a little side project of mine because I love statistics and rankings, I enjoy programming, and I think it's generally a useful repository for anyone to find quality forex websites.

250+ Most Visited Forex Sites
April 20, 2007
I've updated the database of most visited Forex sites to include now over 250 sites, about 40 more than there were last week. More functionality will be coming like Alexa ranking display, historical forexontop ranking graphs, and a search feature. The other reasons behind the site is to keep my programming skills sharp and also because I love statistics and rankings.

Forex Top 210+ Websites Updated
April 13, 2007
The first update of http://www.forexontop.com occurred this evening. The forex website with the greatest positive ranking change was http://www.radaforex.com, an emerging market and exotic currency broker moved up 26 spots to #183. Don't ask me why it had a gain in traffic, the site looks absolutely useless to me.
The forex website with the greatest negative ranking change was K.B. Advisory Ltd., a subscription based currency analysis and recommendation website. The site lost 12 spots to #204.
Action Forex debuted at #90 probably because they were just approved by DMOZ.
Saxo Bank remains #1. Forex Project remains at #22.

Top Forex Sites
April 24, 2006
The Top 100 Forex Sites has been updated. Please remember this is based on traffic reports from Alexa, a subsidiary of Amazon. There are some new sites in the top 100 that weren't there before. I'll actually have to get to the point where I'm keeping history so we can all see if certain sites are changing in rank from week to week. No surprise that Saxo Bank is #1 again considering all the advertising they do.

Forex Top 100 Sites Explanation
February 16, 2006
I was accused of being a spammer because of my Top 100 Sites. A user visited and stated that his forex site has 990 something backlinks and is listed on all the search engines yet he is not in the top 100. As I previously stated, these rankings are pulled from Alexa’s traffic rankings. To get a little more detailed, these are the top 100 sites pulled from the DMOZ category Business / Investing / Commodities and Futures / Forex /
DMOZ is a pretty reputable hand edited directory and Alexa has it’s limitations on knowing exactly how much traffic a site gets but it’s the best that is out there.
Since he is putting so much importance on backlinks, he must be using Google’s way of ranking sites. As much as Google would like to be the authority of all search engines, it is not and should not. They rank their sites based on a complex algorithm and weigh the ranking partly on the number of backlinks to your site. I’m not using this method because I don’t think backlinks are all that important. You can spend your days sending emails to other website operators trading backlinks to increase your ranking and if you have that sort of time, then so be it.
I’m surprised someone would go as far as accusing me of being a spammer because the data I’m pulling is "wrong." The data is not wrong. I’m relying on Alexa to provide the data and I’m processing it exactly how it comes in. Your certainly entitled to your opinion but use your words wisely because being a spammer is the furthest thing from the truth.
In an attempt to be democratic, if anyone has a forex website that is not in the top 100, please click Contact Me and send me your site URL. I’ll check the traffic rankings and include it if it makes the top 100.
