Free Raghee Horner Webinars This Weekend
April 24, 2006
Raghee Horner announced today that she will have 2 webinars this weekend. The first is called "Setting Up Your Entries with Advanced GET Charts." This webinar allows you to watch as Raghee walks you through the three type of entries she uses. The second is "Master Order Execution with Raghee Horner" with a description as follows:
Raghee will share her entry techniques using eSignal's Advanced GET charts
which attendees of this FREE WEBINAR can get free through TradeDirectFX*.
Advanced GET charts will allow you to set up the Wave, draw trendlines, support,
and resistance as well as use all the Fibonacci retracement and extension levels she uses every day.
See set ups of momentum trades, swing trades, as well as Raghee's Wave/CCI
trade and learn specifically when to use each.
Both webinars are this Saturday, the first at 1 p.m. EST and the second at 4 p.m. EST and are FREE. I've been to her previous 4 webinars and found them all very beneficial if not for her commentary also for the contacts you meet in the room.
I've already registered for these 2 events. I would recommend you do the same.

Are Moving Averages Most Profitable Technical Analysis?
April 9, 2006
Thanks to Craig for this interesting post:
Here is an interesting research paper you might like to read (http://reports-archive.adm.cs.cmu.edu/anon/2003/CMU-CS-03-123.pdf).
This
guy did statistical studies on the major TA's which everybody uses &
used genetic algorithms to try and breed trading stratergies using TA
combinations. Some interesting results, e.g.
1. MA's are by far the most profitable TA
2. Some common strategies are so bad that turning the buy signals into sell and vice versa produces quite good results!
Seems
to me trading is a bit like surfing, you watch the ocean and learn to
pick the good waves, but you can't ride a wave until it has actually
developed. But experience allows you to size up the good rides
early. This analogy also applies to timeframes, beginner surfers spend
a lot of time thrashing about in the shorebreak fighting over slop, the
old hands wait patiently for the big ride out back.
Nothing more or less.

Wave Analysis for Multiple Currency Pairs
March 18, 2006
The fibo-group submitted their wave analysis to my forex directory yesterday and it’s pretty interesting stuff. Here’s an example of the commentary and respective chart for the Daily USD/CAD:
The pair reversed sharply, having broken the second critical level. No “Signal line” of the descending “Andrew’s pitchfork” degree Minor is broken. That’s why it is too early to talk about reversal. We see retracement. The depth of the retracement is seen as the “Reaction line 23,6%” of the “Andrew’s pitchfork” degree Intermediate, drawn from the last wave pivots of this wave degree. The pair forms pivot on this “Reaction line” in 80% of all cases.
This suppose is confirmed by the fact that this resistance level is marked by the “Upper signal line” of the descending “Andrew’s pitchfork” degree Minor.

You can check it all out at http://www.fibo-group.com/pages/505

Raghee Horner Tricks of the Trade
February 25, 2006
Raghee’s first webinar today just ended and if you have been to her previous webinars didn’t offer anything new. As I have always said about Raghee, I definately admire her simplicity. She relies on "The Wave" (34 EMA of high, low, close), fibonacci retracements, and trendlines. These are all great indicators to rely on.
There were some users in the webinar that were bashing her methods which I think is uncalled for. Not only do I admire her simplicity but also her dedication and consistency. She has developed her own style of trading and in addition to wanting to make a couple of more bucks for herself is offering her time to teach others. That should be worth something. If anything, these webinars are quite motivational and that alone will carry me to her webinar at 4:00 EST.
