Trading Cross Currencies when volume is lower?

I’m wondering if anyone trades the crosses.  I was looking at a chart with average daily range broken down by trading session and during the Asian session, the widest trading range is for the GBP/JPY.  I understand that the spread is larger (9 at FXCM)

 
10% of all forex transactions occur during the Asian session. 

I’m looking for something will more volume to trade during this period of time.  Am I pushing it?
